Riverport Business Club member WaterWorx Plumbing and Heating were named finalists at this year's Huntingdonshire Business Awards.
Riverport Business Club member WaterWorx Plumbing and Heating were named finalists at the 2026 Huntingdonshire Business Awards. The WaterWorx team swapped their work gear for black tie to join a night celebrating the very best of local business.
The WaterWorx team didn't take the trophy home this year, but reaching the final against such strong competition from across Huntingdonshire is a real achievement. Congratulations from everybody at Riverport on some well-deserved recognition for a team that works so hard for its customers.
We're proud to see one of our members recognised on such a big stage, and we're sure it won't be the last time.
Pistons to Places Raises Over £80,000 for Little Miracles
Riverport Business Club member Pistons to Places has raised over £80,000 for local charity Little Miracles.
Riverport Business Club member Pistons to Places (Nick Jones, also of Dream Clean Services) has raised over £80,000 for Little Miracles with its charity rally to Pisa and back. Little Miracles supports families of children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions.
2,300 miles in budget bangers
33 teams set off from St Ives at 1am on 26 June, taking on a 2,300-mile round trip to Pisa in cars costing £1,000 or less. The route took in the legendary Stelvio Pass, an overnight stop in Lucca and the long run home through Tuscany and Dijon. There was extreme heat, breakdowns and long days on the road, yet all but three cars made it home, rolling back into St Ives to a hero's welcome on Monday 29 June.
When Pistons to Places launched, the aim was to raise £20,000, and even that felt ambitious. Finishing on over £80,000 is down to every driver, sponsor, donor and supporter who got behind the challenge.
Despite all the challenges, you all made this happen. What a team, what a cause!

Cheque presented at the Cinderella Ball
On 20 October the teams came together at the Cinderella Ball to celebrate the rally and present Little Miracles with a cheque for £80,336.54. The ball was organised by Wendy Jones, who did an amazing job making the night happen, although nobody seems quite sure where Nick disappeared to when some of the photos were taken.
Little Miracles thanked everyone who took part, helped organise, sponsored the teams, donated or supported along the way. The money will help them carry on supporting local families.
Thank you Pistons to Places, for going the extra mile for our #TeamRainbow families.
