How our Thursday morning meetings run, for businesses covering St Ives and surrounding areas
A clear, friendly structure from first coffee to close, so every minute works for your business.
What to Expect
Every meeting follows the same shape, so members and guests always know what is coming next.
We meet on Thursday mornings, either face to face or online via Zoom depending on the week. From arrival to close it takes a little over two hours, with time set aside for introductions, referrals, learning and, of course, breakfast.

How the Morning Runs
-
Arrive and Network
Grab a drink and catch up informally before the meeting is called to order.
-
Welcome From the Chair
The Chairman opens the meeting and sets out the morning ahead.
-
One-Minute Introductions
Every member, and every guest, takes a turn to introduce themselves and say what kind of work they are looking for. Short, sharp and the best practice there is for your pitch.
-
Referrals and Leads
Members exchange referrals and testimonials. Each lead is written on a slip and logged, so it can be followed up properly.
-
Feature Presentation
A 15-minute talk from a guest speaker, or a member taking the floor to explain their business - or one part of it - in more depth.
-
Notices
Any other business, plus local events and news worth sharing.
-
Breakfast
Time to eat, talk and follow up on the introductions from earlier in the morning.
-
Close
The meeting wraps up at around 9.15am, leaving the rest of the day for business.
